For those of you interested, the first song is in a 3/4 time sig and was designed to be a waltz to resemble innocence and youth, the story follows the typical "hero adventure" theme and so the heavy metal in the middle represents the climax of conflict and the following sequence is the pit of despair. The Owl represents the wisdom gained from the journey and the motif of the original waltz reappears but in a much more aged, and reflective manner signified by the slower tempo and 4/4 sig. There's more to it and a ton of tiny details scattered throughout that emphasize these main points but those were more for me anyways :) hope you all enjoyed it.
