Distanced is a game about an elven girl who has to climb the Bell Tower to get her wish granted from the legendary wishing bell.
-Movement:
WASD or Arrow Keys
Shift - Select
Enter - Start
Z to Interact. X to go out of the Menus
Shift opens your inventory.
It doesn't have music so do not worry about the game not making any sound since, again, its not finished, has 3 out of 4 story routes.
Originally, I planned for this game to be a narrative experience and to not have intricate gameplay to favor simple puzzles.
Also sorry if the thumbnail feels like clickbait. My strong suit is art, not code.
The main reason it was cancelled was due to me losing interest on the engine.
Feel free to critique what little is there honestly. As long as it isn't something mentioned in this list:
-Lack of music/Sound
-Sprites too small/ too simple
Both of these were due to engine limitations.

Not much to work with here, but the style of the game is definitely its strongest factor. Other than that, there really isn't much of a "game" just yet. However, your plan for this does sound interesting and I am a fan this style of retro gaming. I look forward to what you'll come up with in the future!!
The game (or what is so far) is really really good and i and many people wannt to see more, maby ask someone if they can help you code, if you wannt to continue
So as it stands the alpha shows great promise for a new story for sure. I like the use of everything and the Ui feels unique yet familiar with this new pico 8 adaptation coming around newgrounds.
And you know what, you gotta make the cursor not slide, you have to be a little more aware of the blocking of the walking space.
I love the “push up to start” its intuitive. 5) stars comes from a place where like either its without a doubt hype, youre my friend and im boosting your newgrounds, or you made a slap down pretty dang spiffy piece of BWAH HAHAHA!
No need for a drawing board. But, id honestly just try to readapt a zelda style gameplay mixed with potentially a new emotional take, where, you have to use a tool to guide the friend or something??? Idk p badass tho g yeah big dick energy for sure.
