Resident Evil Reanimated - Shots + Process - Cameron Blake

Share Collapse

Watch the collab here:

A collection of the shots I animated for the Resident Evil Reanimated Collab hosted by David Budgen (BadTwin). This was my first time participating in an online collab and I had a lot of fun figuring out what to do with my scenes.

Scene 8 provided a unique challenge as the camera was moving diagonally through grass, something that would be very hard to render exclusively in 2D. I decided to use After Effects to render a 3D environment where I placed 2D assets such as grass and dirt as "cardboard cutouts".

Hopefully each scene stands out enough, as I tried to keep the color palette close to the original production, but I may have taken some... uh... creative liberties with the source material.

Thanks for watching and Happy Halloween!
