I was testing out my platformer movement mechanics before using them in a full game. Tell me what you like and don't like about this game.

P.S: "esc" is to pause the game!

The controls feel non-intuitive, maybe you could add the jump on the up arrow.
The platforms box collider are too small I think, you could try to make them bigger.
If you dash into a platform, you get stuck.

Hope to see your full game :D

I used z to jump because you will be using the direction arrows to control the direction of your dash, which can also be up!

When testing, I had bigger platforms but found that to be too easy and you could play basically forever.

Dashing into a platform from the side was something that happened all the time at one point, I managed to do a partial fix so it happens much less. Still investigating a full fix, I'm trying to learn more about Unity's physics to understand what's going wrong.

I ran into a few problems with the platforming, sometimes platforms are either too high up or too far away and jumping to them is made impossible because of that. Otherwise the jumping feels alright, not floaty or with any noticeable input delays, so good job on that. The "meat and potatoes" of this game are solid, but theres little variation which causes it to get rather boring after a while.

Jumping isn't impossible as you say! You just need to jump and dash. I agree that there's no variation, I just mean to test the mechanics, before making many levels.
