i got to the bottom of the screen as well
Hello , This is my second game Anti-Pill This is my submission to a game jam and this game is all about avoidance you will play as a pill trying to avoid bacteria until you get the highest score
Update : Bottom Of the Screen fix
i got to the bottom of the screen as well
So I'm typing this out as the game is running. I found out that I could move down below the bottom row, and there hasn't been a single germ I've had to avoid since then. There's no music, and for a game that places as its goal "trying to get the highest score" I'm not seeing any points or anything to indicate how gar I've gotten.
I still haven't had to dodge anything. Game's still running.
I took a pause here to think of more to say.
Did you know that a piece of pottery is often fired--that is to say, put in a purpose-built oven called a kiln--twice? The first time removes all water or place for water on a chemical level from the body, meaning it can't be reshaped any further and that it won't dissolve in water. This is called the biscuit firing. The second firing can fully vitrify the body, making it non-permeable to water and allowing glazes to melt and take on their final form. Which is actually really interesting as a lot of pottery glazes for high-fire pottery bear little or no resemblance to what they end up looking like: my favorite looks like a barn red tempera paint when it's applied, but after hours and days of being heated to over a thousand degrees, it turns a deep glassy black with iron crystal occlusions over its surface.
This isn't something that's relevant at all, except to say that the game is still running and I still haven't had to move the pill while hundreds of bacteria flow above me.
I understand that this is the author's second game. And I suppose for that it's okay. It's not collapsing in on itself or anything. But I stumbled across a bug here that reveals that there's not really a win state or even much at all to this. I've spent probably fifteen minutes here, and still no end in site.
You might get somewhere eventually, but this in and of itself isn't particularly impressive.
EDIT:
So I decided to see what would happen if I moved and went for a game over. The Game Over text is too large for the window of the game, and the message below it, "R to Rest" I assume is a truncated "Press R to Restart."
