This is the first animation ive posted to newgrounds since 2014! Im glad to be here again- Im going to keep being more active here :D

About Making it:

During the quarantine I drew a little smoke effect in flash inspired by a stick of incense burning. I thought itd be neat to put it in context- whatever it was, and that became this image of a female figure in the woods on a stormy night. I kept adding stuff and adding until my original intent evolved way past what I originally shot for, painted a background- basically applied everything ive learned during my years producing animation and make a little scene. I designed to be enjoyed like a painting that moves.

The FLAVOR of the shot I think is really owed to this song “Cascadas” by Mexican band LA GARFIELD. Early in the making of this animation I would play the music while working and In the end I knew aesthetically I had kind of designed the whole thing to function as animation for that music. I wanted to fuse my image with that gorgeous bossa nova sound- its like a very discreet fanart.

This loop encapsulates the artstyle of a cartoon Im working- its a tiny window into that world.
