With only your car’s light guiding you through the emptiness of a city’s quiet downtown area, you’ll have to adapt to various changes of the environment around you. And of course, it wouldn’t be a proper racing game without ticking countdowns and hidden passageways.
This game was made in 48 hours for the Collab game jam
I can feel this wanting to be something, with a little more polish on the UI it should be looking good.
1. At first it wasnt very clear what your supposed to do, because of the very bland backgrounds its hard to tell where to go when you start. My personal recommendation is to add an arrow at the top of maybe add like a starting scene so you know your supposed to be moving straight forward on the path.
2. changing the controls is a very interesting idea and it seems to be almost there, The colors changing is a little jaring and distracting when your trying to keep focus on the path your going on mostly because its very straining to stare at one color background the whole time, and I think would help if you added a unique "ding" for each control change so you can more easily rely on your ability to hear. Of course you keep the color change but the addition of the sound will make it much easier to be able to pay attention to the road.
3. Jesus tap dancing christ put a soundtrack or something to drown out the shitty motor that you have. this thing is a fucking danger to drive! no car should sound like this piece of shit.
Overall: this has some potential to be much better, the sound design could use major re-working. I hope to see some improvements in the future.
