must have an error in this one...replaying in hard freezes the menu, but in the old version this isnt a problem...wonder what the deal is, because cant even get on the scoreboard. Ive beat hard twice now and still no trophy.... :(

Why
The old submission for Crystals no longer loads and after lots of trial and error I came to the conclusion that this has something to do with where the file is served from internally, because I was getting requests blocked from an http link to ungrounded.net (NG's file server) when previewing the game before, and http links are blocked due to SSL standards that started being enforced after the game was released. That's my theory at least. It would explain why the game is working here.
There are people who still very much enjoy this game and it would be a shame if it can't be played anymore thanks to Flash deprecation. If that's you, you can download the game for free here: https://leahsgames.itch.io/crystals-flash Note this version does not have any highscores because rolling that out myself would be way too much work.

Powerups:
When matching 4: Line clearing powerup
When matching 5 in a straight line: Bomb that clears all gems of a certain type
When matching 5 in a T or ∟ shape: Diagonal cross (X) clearing powerup

Note there is no way to pause the game, but you can restart the game back to the main menu by pressing Shift + Backspace.

Cute as hell, brings a sort of warmth to my soul.
Really like this game, stoked to see it back.
I think this could be improved by laying out more knowledge of what the game is. I didn't know the time increased when all the covered blocks were destroyed. I didn't know there were multiple levels. I originally wrote this off after running out of time on the first stage several times. It’s pretty good otherwise.
