Super rough around the edges, but you can tell the game was made with care.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND PLAYING WITH THE FULL-SCREEN OPTION (the blue arrow at the bottom right corner) you can exit full-screen with ESC key.
Controls:
Arrows keys or WASD to move.
LEFT CLICK - attack
ESC pause menu
Press P to heal (Health Bar at the upper left corner)
Hi!!!! This videogame is my team project for the Videogame Development Project course. We didn't had a lot of time to develop it, but we feel very proud of what we accomplished. I was in charge of the enemies, the game design, story, original music and animations. If you play it I would appreaciate if you could give us some feedback to improve in the future :)
This is the second part of our Davatrix series (which we develop for our teacher Davalos every time we are assigned to one of his courses, this one is for Network Fundamentals (that's why dungeons of the web), as well as for the videogame development project course) as a way to get extra points for creating memes for his course (so yeah...this game could be considered a meme for him) and for saying thanks to him for being such an awesome professor.
You can play the first one here(but honestly this one is better lol): https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/729701

WE ARE NOT MAKING ANY PROFIT FROM THIS COLLEGE COURSE PROJECT AND IF REQUESTED BY ANY OF THE AUTHORS OF ANY CONTENT THAT APPEARS IN OUR GAME THAT COULD INFRINGE COPYRIGHT IT WOULD BE REMOVED FROM NEWGROUNDS IMMEDIATELY WITHOUT HESITATION
Super rough around the edges, but you can tell the game was made with care.
Thanks for playing our game!!
the bald guy at the start has the comic sans font. is he sans before death?
He is Vinton Cerf, one of the fathers of the Internet...or could he be Sans? 👀
great art and well developed but there is nothing telling you what to do once you start the game, there's no check points and the hitboxes are too big for the sprites
We decided to not add checkpoints considering how other bullet-hell games work (like Enter the Gungeon and The Binding of Isaac). Sadly, we didn't have enough time to finish the instructions menu (because it is a college course project ). I'll add instructions to my next games, you are right, it causes confusion and that's not nice for every person that takes part of its time to play our game, so I would like to apologize for that. Thanks for playing and for your feedback!!!
THIS GAME NOT BAD its actually pretty good
Thanks <3
It was an interesting game for the amount of time that I played it for. I stopped at the Pyramid head fight because I didn't feel like playing through the entire multistage bullet hell maze again. This game also has a surprising amount of waiting. The intro is slow and kind of confusing.
Ways I would suggest for improvement:
Checkpoints: not having checkpoints artificially increases the difficulty but not in a fun way as you have to slog through all the same things again and you don't feel like you earned anything.
Mashable text: Some players enjoy story and read fast and others don't like story or don't read fast. A good middle ground for all users is being able to click to skip to the next stage of the text.
Remember MVP: Minimum viable product is the absolute minimum needed to have a fun game. When you add a feature ask yourself "Is this fun?" If the answer is yes add it else ask yourself why and It might show you a new path you haven't thought of.
Thank you so much for taking part of your time to write this feedback! We decided to not add checkpoints like other bullet hell games like Enter the Gungeon or The Binding of Isaac, but I'll seriously consider it for my future games (I don't want to stress people who play me games). Thank you so much for the MVP tip! I'll surely apply it in future games!!! :D I'm sure it will help me a lot to discover new paths and improve my game development skills!
