The Back Road

Share Collapse

My newest creepy animated scary story involves a young woman who is down on her luck. She gets lost on a back road in the middle of nowhere, but catches a lucky break when a good samaritan offers to help her. Or maybe it's not a lucky break after all...

I agree with what the others already said, I just want to mention that I really liked the fact that the main char doesn't act as stupid as other characters in horror movies tend to do.

Sure, she was maybe a bit to trusting in the beginning, but when she realized she was in danger she didn't hesitate to do what ever was nescessary to save herself!
That's the kind of behavior and common sense I miss in other modern scary stories. Well done, I enjoyed this fine little creepypasta.

I like this

I have to say this is some really nice work and love the voice in this and you really make it like a real story and make it come out well with all the nice visuals really well done if you ask me hope you continue to make more like this one very good stuff.

~~THINGS TO IMPROVE ON~~
none just make more maybe some added subtitles

Really brought up the tension pretty well here! Simple but effectual graphics, and story-telling in a good tone... though feels like some more background noise might take it even further. A crackle of lightning, the sound of footsteps on wet ground as she runs, simple things like that. Considering the tone the woods also felt surprisingly bright, and the rain not so fierce after all... but they did add to the atmosphere anyway. Maybe her expressions and reactions were most important after all...

Was expecting more of a twist at the end, that she ran into the house of the attackers instead for example, but it's almost refreshing that it ends without one. A scary story told well, no more no less, no need for additional violence or disappointments...

Thanks for the great review Cyberdevil. I agree that more sound effects would help add more immersion into the story, that's very good advice. I think I'm going to try that with my future projects. Also ya, I thought about making a twist ending, but decided to leave it as happy instead. It's funny how these days it's almost a twist to not have a twist. I blame Disney!

That was a great flash animation.
