For a first published project this is very impressive, very cool!
I've read a few of the comments already and it seems like people mostly said what I was thinking in regards to feedback so I'll just be here to drop some words of encouragement. :)
ABOUT THIS GAME
You, the mightiest Yeti have challenged the Shard Cavern... Escape incoming shard storms and prove your worth... How long can you withstand the Shard Cavern for? That's for you to find out...
Shard Cavern is a single-player casual endless bullet-hell where you put your reaction time & reflexes to the test. This is my first game alone from scratch and I have thoroughly enjoyed the development process. I've learnt a lot from this small game and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do!
CONTROLS
Simple controls anyone can master!
Movement: A, D / Arrow Keys
Dash: Space + Movement

Thanks a lot for the encouragement! From a popular NG game developer such as yourself, this really made my day!! Cheers :D!!
Good job on your first game ! It's quite polished, visual-wise, with a good use of gfx. Try adding a blink animation to the yeti('s head), something as simple as that would make him more lively. Optionally, a dash and death animation would be nice too.
Game design-wise it's alright too, it's a simple infinite... "avoider" ? haha. I just feel like the dash is a bit useless against big shards. Maybe give it more distance, or some i-frames ?
Also I've played 4 runs and still have no idea on how to avoid the big shards wave after the warning, but maybe that's just me.
On a last note, since the game happens in a cavern, you could try adding echo to the shard shattering sounds.
Thanks a lot, this means a lot to me! Totally agree with your suggestions to make it more lively, I'll definitely incorporate that into my future games. I've never thought of using an echo for the shard shattering sounds either! Cheers!
I love these kinds of games! The art, music choice, and game-play are great!
I personally believe that there could be some more to it. Possibly, a multiplayer feature? (Even though you did clarify in the desc. "Shard Cavern is a single-player casual" I would love to see some dual-player action.) Costumes maybe? I guess, just something (sorry if that's not helpful).
PS: I've got no real cons. I/Some could complain about the repetitiveness, but it is an endless survival game and I feel as if you wanted it to be straightforward so... Anyways, great game!
Thanks a lot! I like the sound of local multiplayer and costumes, I'll consider them for future development. I'm glad you enjoyed it, cheers :) !
AAH! Don't ever blink! You'll get hit by an ice shard :/
Priddygood, mm hmm heeh.
Hahaha bet you did!
simple and nice .... Maybe I am just too lag, I dont really feel the excitement of just avoiding the meteor or maybe there is more to it if I just continue.. Tell me is there???
Unfortunately that's all this game has got, haha! Might add more for future development though!
