There needs to be "difficulty" setting because i had to start it 4 times just to see what the goal and how to reach the goal in order to play correctly. The instructions for this game should be more detailed and at least a quick demonstration or walk through just to see how to operate the game. Points were given for the creativity of the game and the challenging aspect of it. I dislike games where the win is basically handed to you, even if you dont know what your doing. With this game, you really have to strategically make your moves and take into effect the cost as you progress on. THis needs a little more work but i know it can be done and made better.

Thank you for your message YismaelEagle and feedback. I'm sorry you had trouble with the game. We didn't have time to polish all the elements so it's quite tedious to understand how to operate it. So I can totally understand what you mean.
It would have surely be made more better if time would allow us too, I don't think we would change it anyway. But I'm happy you gave it a try. Thanks again :)

Because it's hard to figure things out initially (as with most new games) we absolutely need a pause button. It would also help to have various difficulty settings: Hard, Medium, Easy, and Sandbox. In its current state the game is frustratingly impossible for me. One thing I would strongly suggest is increasing the strength of the alien waves based on how many probes the player has sent out. so players with 0-3 probes sent will have an easy time and be able to safely upgrade their ship. Then, as more probes are sent, you will be able to upgrade more areas of the ship in an incremental fashion. Another way to control difficulty is through stages or through areas of the world map. Implementing a world map should help players feel like they are accomplishing something as opposed to being crushed to death.

Thanks for your feedback ! :)
We had lots of ideas to pack into the game and we did come short on implementing them in a readable fashion. We were quite a lot in the team so it resulted in lots of ideas being overlooked rather than being polished and implemented thoroughly.
The pause option is something we got a lot in the feedbacks.
It's understandable that with so much going on, it rather is a little bit difficult to understand what is actually going on. And I thank you for taking the time playing it and writing feedback, that's really appreciated.
At the moment I'm not sure if the team wants to pursue a reworked version of it as it was just a game jam issue after all. But feedbacks like yours and other fellow gamers is always a source of motivation to do better for the next one, or pursue an idea that people enjoyed it as its core despite the gameplay not following much.
Thanks for your words!
