So, I've been writing this lil french one-shot about this engineer dude (Maxime) who, after a mechanical mishap with a time machine, accidentally brings a knight named Thibault des Grands Prés, from the dark ages, to his house. He's stuck taking care of him while he tries to find a way to bring him back home, and this task ends up being quite tedious as this man is, well, having trouble adjusting to the 21st century by himself. It's up to Maxime to teach Thibault about the way the modern world works, as best as he can.

I animated this one scene bc I thought it was kinda cute (tho tbh any scene in this story where Thibault learns something is cute lmao)

TRANSLATION FOR THE NON-FRENCH SPEAKERS:

In this scene, Thibault seems confused as to how Maxime, someone who isn't white, owns a (luxurious) house, and is pretty much free. Maxime has to explain to Thibault about the changes that took place in the year gap between where he lived and where he is now, and that is, explaining to him (in his own words as best as he can) what racism is. To the shock (but delight) of Maxime, Thibault understands, and, filled with guilt, asks God to forgive him, to which Maxime says that he himself forgives him.
