A game made for ScoreSpace Jam #8. The theme was "balance".

Rotate the platforms to keep the ball going.

I've never been a fan of the high score genre, but this one in particular was addicting and kept me engaged for a while. It's amazing what you can do with just a couple special effects. The rising squares above the orange out of bounds zone, the ball releasing an explosion of shrapnel when it catches air time, all these little things are so charming to see over and over again!

Edit: My high score is 3034. Not impressive, but I can at least say that I've beaten the score in the .gif file in the description!

Interesting and original concept, good physics and well made!

It seems a lot more things can be done from here. Like add challenges. (Ex: Touch every platform, reach a certain height using platforms going higher and higher, go backwards, unlock different physics/balls/platforms, even make it a two player ping pong! Or add levels with a challenging path: big gaps/different height platforms etc.)
I wouldn't be surprised if we see more using this concept, if not from you, somebody else!

5/5 Thanks for sharing + thumbs up for mentioning all the credits, even your inspiration!

Happy that the inspiration behind this was included. I always wonder what goes on in the creators head. This idea felt better suited in a 2D environment from the looks of it. This can also make for a pinball game starting point if you decide to make one.
The graphics toggle's nice to have, so playing it won't be hard on the eyes. The game play encourages me to go farther, faster, and higher and the speed's rewarding with its score increase. As simple as it's presented, I somewhat expected odd challenges to be thrown at me the farther I got, but managing the trajectory's the most I'd have to consider.
Highest number I got was 9661.

I like the aesthetic, and the gameplay is simple but pretty fun once you get used to the physics. A few nitpicks:
- I wish you could restart whenever you want so I don't have to wait for the ball to land in the lava.
- I don't like the orange/yellow and blue color combination. I wish it was more monochromatic, or if you want contrasting colors, I would make it more orange rather than yellow.

Other than that, cool game

I'm glad you thought it was fun, and thanks for the feedback. You can now restart at any time and I changed the color of the lava. Let me know if you like the changes!
