double jump sucks, the game is slow, i hate you dude, i'm writting your name down to never play one of your games again
You are a robot that got mistaken for trash late at night and got dumped at an automated robot incinerator. The process caused damage to your body and the incinerator is lowering you to your doom. Your only hope of survival is to repair your broken system with scraps from other robots while avoiding the fiery depths of the incinerator. Repairing yourself should trick the incinerator system into stopping. So jump, repair and survive!
This game was made at GGJ 2020 and worked on for a month in my spare time after work. I plan on starting to work on my next game and release it later this year. Darn it! Well, thanks for the reply anyway. There's a lot of programming that I need to improve on but the next game will be better. :) Anyhow have a good day!
I liked your game, I really did! The concept's good and the music and graphics aren't bad. The thing though is that the controls are kinda buggy and unresponsive at times - some times pressing up and spacebar (or viceversa) ends up in a single jump (and certain doom at times).
And that makes the gaming experience quite frustrating...
I am no programmer, have no idea how to address that issue. But what about changing the doublejump keybind? For example, pressing spacebar twice, or W twice. That'd make the gameplay a lot smoother. Hope I could help! ;)
Thanks for the comment! I appreciate the time and insight. I'll see about tweaking the double jump a bit more. I think I might add an option to change the key binding to fix that problem.
