So this is my junior year film in high school, No Takebacks. While definitely not perfect, I'm happy how it ended up. So far it has gained 1st place in traditional animation in the state of Texas (at a high school level; in UIL) and 1st in animation at TYCA.
While I have noted many imperfections with character, story, backgrounds, animation, and all of that good stuff, feel free to critique and I'd be happy to reply and learn from comments!
No Takebacks is about Rob who commits suicide and is able to spectate the loved ones around him. He begins to regret his decision after seeing the turmoil his friend is facing and is ultimately unable to save himself from death. The ending then follows the parents arguing and the father, who was initially very stern and unemotional, start to break down by the death of his son while the friend looks longingly at the sky.
What I am trying to get across here is that suicide affects more people than just the person committing it. If you can't live for yourself, find purpose in other people or other things. From there, you can learn to truly live for yourself.
I cannot wait to make my senior year film(s) in high school, and I hope they don't turn out terrible. Wish me luck!
