Greet 'em and Seat 'em (Newgrounds Pixel Day 2020 release for desktop PC, HTML5 version)
In this old-school casual game that hearkens back to the consoles of the 1980s, you play the role of a mayoral candidate trying to win over his audience by providing them with seating. As such, you control this character's left and right movements, bringing chairs to potential supporters as they descend from the doorways near the top of the scene. To progress, you generate "rapport" by shaking hands with seated supporters... if you have time to! As you advance in the game, the story of your glorious political career unfolds, taking you from the humble title of Mayor of Philadelphia to international leadership!
The original 2017 release of this game, which includes Achievements and is meant to be played on a touchscreen phone or tablet, is also available (for free) in the Google Play store.
This game was made using AppGameKit, and the music was made in FamiTracker.
While most of my creations on Newgrounds (and in general) are released under the label Too Much Spare Time, this time (and possibly with future game submissions as well) I'm using Absolute Kobold Interactive - as a nod to my earliest experiences with making video games, which were made under the name A.K. Software. That was in QBASIC from 1995-1999, and since then a real company called A.K. Software has appeared, hence the name change to avoid legal issues. Also kobolds are cool.

Ahahah, I loved the death ray thing coming out of nowhere. "Chairs, handshakes and death rays" would be the perfect title for a humorous novel. Really funny game and lovely animation, by the way.
I got to Level 09 and seated 264 people before getting a dissatisfaction report from the newspaper. Each newspaper was funny and I'm glad that I did my very best. The animations are detailed and addicting, by the way.

For what it is, It's very good. Concept is funny, execution is smooth, graphics and music and pleasant, game-play look is fun, and the win screens kept me coming back every time.
