IT IS A PROTOTYPE, FULL VERSION WILL BE RELEASED AT STEAM

Listeria Wars is a tactical strategy where we protect the hero’s body from various infections and viruses by controlling the troops of the immune system. We can observe his personal life and even influence it with side effects.

The scene of the game takes place in the body of the protagonist. We see everything that happens to him in real-time on the little screen. We have at our disposal various types of cells of the immune system, controlling which we protect the body from the attacks of harmful bacteria and viruses, as well as train the immune system. Special actions can cause side effects that affect the plot. For example, on a date with a girl, the protagonist can vomit and they break up, which makes the hero depressed.

Key Features:

  • Story twists caused by your actions
  • 30 levels (days from the hero's life)
  • Various bosses
  • 8 types of cells of the immune system that can be upgraded
  • Fighting that are requiring difficult tactical decisions

This prototype was made on Flash. Currently I remake it on Unity, it will be different from the old one.

What will be in the Unity version of Listeria Wars:

  • More realistic immune processes. Gems were replaced by Enzymes, every enemy is a certain pathogen, attacks will be more into line with the little tv screen
  • Catalog of immune system units and pathogens
  • New gameplay mechanics
  • Pathogen mode where needs to take over the organism and more
  • Updated sprites and visual effects
  • New plot and endings
  • New control system with the support of keyboard and gamepad
  • New upgrade system
  • The time machine that returns back
  • A lot of little updates

The graphics are pixel art, so that is the standard graphics these days. A Tower Defense game about the body immune system is a smart idea. The current set up is that losing gives you more gems than winning. That seems like a poor mechanic. Also, why can't you replay previous levels? That is normally a good way to grind.

- I like this game , but I dislike all modren game that still force player to grind(altought this game still not too grindy)
- the boy keep dying at 29th day , I already delete a few save to experiment it and presume that at least 9/10 player have to grind(which make this game twice as long)

unless it still possible to save the boy in one attemp.

A fun game but with a serious problem with progression and gems.
You actively get punished for progressing well through levels as you don't get as many gems as you would if you kept failing, and there is no gem bonus for getting a higher health score. Late in the game I actually reached a point (around day 20 I believe) that felt unwinnable due to the slowness of the progression and how much I was getting. The first mission to introduce the green worms earlier VERY NEARLY ended my game earlier than that.
The mana boost and red gem upgrades are critical.

Also for new players who want to win:
Make sure to grab the cleric and ranged units ASAP. He makes it so you have something resembling a stable foundation for defense. Completely ignore "ball" as it is near useless aside from a very few specific scenarios and actively a resource drain.

nice game but pretty hard if you can't get the ranger unit early on

No volume settings, it's just on and off.
