Kept me occupied for hours. The only reason this didn't get five stars is the lack of a save system. Otherwise, excellent job!
Fight the Imperium and become a pirate captain!
Command a group of pirates in a strange brew of strategy, tactics and shooting in space. Embark on Captain Gorgutz' campaign, test your skills on specific scenarios or create your own epic skirmish. Choose from an arsenal of 10 battleships and master them all!
If you prefer a more dynamic gameplay, or you'd like to have more time to think during a battle, it's possible to change the game's overall speed in the Settings tab.
This is a hugely expanded version of a game originally made for Mini Jam 28.

Making this game wasn't easy for me, lately I find myself not having enough time for this. Would it be better if I spent this time studying? I don't know, but man, I love making games. Anyway, I'll appreciate any kind of feedback you may have ;)

Glad to hear that! The game should be saving automatically after each mission.
I like that it's a little like 2d Battlefleet Gothic; but the controls *really* miss the mark. (I can tell you like 40k given all the references.)
It'd be nice to have:
* Box selection
* Move-commands allowing a pointer-drag to orient the ship
* Attack command
* Left and right mouse control scheme like every other RTS in almost two decades (select and deselect with left, give orders with right.)
If you had that, the complexity of the battles could be much higher *and* the gameplay would be much less clunky.
Other things I'd like to see:
* Ramming. It's all over in here; may as well add damage to it to add a layer of interest.
* Different weapon types. Lances, etc.
* Money pool that you buy ships with, rather than set ships.
That said, this has some elements I really like and maybe I'll go make something similar that takes into account the above criticisms.
Any chance we'd be getting support for any more ships in custom? I can see this being like TABS if you kept developing it, its pretty damn cool
Thanks! if I ever decide to make a Skirmish 3, I'll certainly add more ships and overall variety. The game surely needs other improvements as well.
This is a pretty good game, I like the controls and the music as well. Although it needs a reset button or shortcut (normally pressing R, isn't it?). Nice job!
Thanks for the suggestion, I've added a reset button in the pause menu.
