yes that wasn't very logical
A short experimental interactive fiction based on theology concepts inspired by Paul Tillich.
yes that wasn't very logical
Hmmm.. Interesting. I'm not quite sure how I want to rate this just yet. I must admit, once I got to the 'question' I had a rough time with it. I think that some of the text changes at the question are misleading. The game tells us we are getting close, but the link between the things that cause us to get close did not lead me to the answer, even after I knew the answer. Trying to do this without giving any spoilers. Ultimately the tips were true. My solution to your puzzle, however, did not lay in guessing, but in cheating. I dug through the source, which in a sense played into your answer.
Not a bad game, the hints could use some finesse, but ultimately I can see how it all works together and in the context of Tillich's writings. I would suggest to other players not to beat their heads if they are having trouble seeing the logic in the final question, and to just put on their best critical thinking hats.
Four stars.
Thanks. This was a quick one, not very polished. But check my next ones.
Took me a while to figure out the last part! Interesting concept, though maybe a little esoteric for someone less interested in Theology / Philosophy.
Your writing is very clear and the simple black and white presentation serves the overall message of the piece well.
A few options led me to dead ends or black screens - I understand this was probably included to serve the message of the piece, but it felt frustrating at times as a player.
I think using Twine to present this type of concept is a great idea - would love to see more experimental type games like this. (but maybe in a more accessible / "gamified" format)
Best of luck - will keep an eye out for other Twine games from you!
Thank you. I will be uploading a new game today.
