I added my own twist to this game: Arrow Keys/WASD to move, but up and down ROTATES the paddle! Using this, you can control where the ball goes. Try it out!

An ok game that I can see the new mechanic good on paper but in practice, it just flops and actually makes things harder. I can't really see an improvement with the new mechanic and I found it annoying when the ball goes into a state where it can't get any momentum to go up and just goes into a loop of going up and down. It took me a while to find out that the paddle rotates till I accidentally pressed w and s. Overall I didn't really enjoy it as much and it needs to explain this new mechanic in-game than to throw me in with no clue of it.

If I remeber correctly in the arcanoid the paddle velocity was applied to the ball on impact, which this implementation ignores in favor of rotation which is unintuitive.
W/S is a bad choice, Q/E would better reflect the direction of the rotation.
While W/S could be used as a spring to give ball a velocity push or dampen the impact, I don't know.
As Proof of Concept or prototype it's fine I guess, but as a game it's severely lacking interesting/challenging mechanics.
It can be made into to a game, but currently it's not much.
