I just now realize that this animated series has a form of "Marvelous Realism" It it's setting. There is no need for the character Max to have a Teleportation device strapped to his body. (Because Technology like that does not exist yet.) BUT it does not harm the story whatsoever. This is not a Magical fantasy or a Science fiction story. It is a real world story with some elements of science fiction to it.
I look forward to whatever small form of fantasy this show might present.
