Really cute idea in general. Needs a lot of polish, but I like the overall idea of it.
The graphics are cute, as is the music, and the movement is not as clunky and slow as I've been led to believe.
That said, there are problems: no killzone on the bottom of levels means you can't die if you fall off the level, leading to the game just soflocking (a manual restart button would go a long way here). Also, maybe improving the game feel a little bit, with things like a gleaming effect on the crystals, a sound effect (and a slight increase in speed) for the dash, maybe some "poof" and dust effects for sliding and killing monsters? I dunno, I feel like the "feel" could be better.
Also, I think the hitboxes on the platforms should be rectangles. The way they are, sliding off the edge is a problem.
There are some bugs that other people already mentioned down here, and also, the checkpoints are nearly invisible against the background. Maybe give them some kind of outline?
Overall, though, a very cute showcase of what the engine is capable of.
