Toy Hunter!

watch the making off:

Story:

You are clearly the best toy.

However, other toys are trying to steal your thunder, eliminate them so you'll stay on the top shelf!

Controls:

Drag your mouse and release to launch your toy into other toys, if you hit them hard enough, they will die. Try to survive as long as possible.

Inspiration:

This is part of a Series where I make one Game every month. Toy story meets fun physics!

this guy gave me malware.

The artstyle is really cool, but there is little variation or skill involved. As long as you keep moving, the enemies can't do anything. Also, you can't see how much damage you do against them, and I rarely notice when I kill one of them. This is your only goal in the game, it should be glorifying! Let them explode in pieces, similar to your own toy.

PS: Good luck with your game-a-month! I did it a year ago and I learned a lot from it.

How adorable :3 I enjoyed the overall look of the game, the 3d assets look decently realistic and cute ;) I also like the jungle-themed soundtrack going along with the game and its animal toys, makes me feel like I'm the lion and it's my mission to show those peasant animals who's the king of all animals.
Regarding the gameplay aspect, I had some trouble attacking the toys, it was just difficult having to move in a three-dimensional space with the view I was given and there were lots of toys approaching me and they were pretty sturdy, too.
Nevertheless, I think the overall gaming experience is very interesting, the game's overall theme is neat and despite me not being able to properly play the game, I've had fun just randomly launching my toy across the room like a madman! ;D I've liked this one, keep up the great work!

JelleVermandere responds:

Hey, thanks for the great feedback! I get your point about the gameplay. I basically made a little physics sandbox where I slapped some gameplay on, the physics could use some finetuning as does the clarity in 3d space. Something to think about for an update in the future!
