Two buddies see their lives take an unexpected turn and must find themselves while being followed by a mysterious organization.
Making of: Once upon a time a kid (me) made a bizarre cartoon with a pencil and a couple of paper sheets, almost two decades later an aspiring artist (also me) found that strange comic and was inspired to make a short animation with it. With a bit of know how on music production and 3d animation and with the help of fellow newgrounds voice actors this movie was born. The process of modelling, texturing, animating, rendering, editing, recording and coordinating with voice actors took almost seven months, but now that it's done, I hope you don't mind I hope you don't mind that I put down in words how wonderful newgrounds is now that it's halloween.

nailed it
The good, Original models, a story, some style within the models and settings with some animation here and there.
The negative: The movie is just too weird. Animation seems to basic, really long and the most bizarre feature from this movie, the movie is presented in a perfect square! Not widescreen or even the old 4:3 ratio. A perfect square.
Thanks for the feedback, yeah I'm doing some experimentation with aspect ratio
Alright man! Glad to see the final product! Definitely made me laugh and I'm glad you chose the "fwend" line haha! Thanks for the opportunity and I look forward to working together in the future!
Right back atcha man!
Wow, I'm moved to tears.
For real though, this was good. Not conventional, that's for sure. I think you did your 12-year-old self justice. This feels exactly the way I imagine a 12-year-old's comic brought to life would feel. The silly faces, the weird story and, most of all, the narration and noir, "serious" setting. It doesn't feel like it's trying to parody itself but it's also self-aware. It demonstrates sincerity in the enjoyment it gets from being what it is and paying tribute to what it's based on. It feels... understanding, I guess. The animation is fun, perfectly fitting wth the weird cut-out people and the video game moments. The voice acting could be a bit louder at times or the music could be a bit quieter. Voice acting was prettt fitting in the same way as the adaptation itself. Just feels like what a 12-year-old would want it to be. The characters cqn sound goofy or over-the-top serious, but it fits. Story, of course, is nonsensical but I feel that's okay in this case.
Keep it up, this was a wonderfully executed tribute. Happy Halloween!
Gee thanks a bunch, I think my inner child is proud of me and I agree, audio dynamic could be better.
Happy Halloween!
