Isn't the story, artwork, and animation also based on Alvin-Earthworm's SMBZ? I didn't see you thank them for the inspiration in the credits.
Of course, your series is going to be compared to that one because of all the similarities. So, with that in mind, you will have to be a little forgiving as my review might sound harsh at times.
The animation and fighting were rather good! Keep up the excellent work. I'm sure they will get even better with time.
The hand drawn close-up of Mario at 28:13 was not worth the payoff. It was not drawn well enough to be a jaw dropping scene. Too much attention was given to his unround eyes.
The pacing of the show felt a little lengthy. Uninteresting scenes were dragging on. Also, you had three script editors and a lot of typos and awkward sentences.
This show lacked the comedy, charm, and suspense of SMBZ. But maybe it will achieve some of this over time or fall into something more unique and special. I will give it a chance. The potential is there. Thank you for sharing your work with us. Onto episode two then!
UPDATE: I just watched this video that reveals all your plagiarism, and I am disappointed.
