It's very Don Bluth
This animation was from my animation course back in 2008. Did this as a final short film, we had 3 months to animate everything and pull it all together.
Wanted to archive it here cause why not?
If you are wondering why the quality is weird, this is over a decade old, I don't have the original files. The aspect ratio is weird because back then you were doing good to get something at 480p and everything was cropped.
It's very Don Bluth
Well that was nice. :) Fun, and animated impressively professionally considering the age of it, though the soundtrack... seems like the mood of the music and that of the animation all conflicts a bit. It keeps building, like some grand adventure, though it feels like it'd have been more fitting with something a bit more simple; comedy oriented. The score's great, just so out of place! So strange.
But overall pretty enjoyable. Having been here back when 480p wasn't even possible the format's no problem. :P

Thanks very much! Yea the music is a bit out of place, it was the first time he'd composed something for a toony short. I was really grateful for having custom music made for me though so it wasn't just sound effects. haha
I'm glad you enjoyed the short!
It's a very good short but there are 2 glaring faults which I believe make this score too low for what it would be: 1. The music is not fitting at all and too loud as well, I presume, you get a better experience by removing it completely. 2. Please correct the aspect ratio. Please. It's a shame to look at. I mean, even the thumbnail is wrong. You do have the original, don't you?
It's 11 years old, so no I don't. Back then you were doing good to get something to 480p on the net and everything was cropped.
As for music, it was made specifically for it by a friend, he was still really new to composing and sound compilation at the time.
Despite that I'm glad you could at least appreciate the animation.
Great job! Brings me back to the good old days back when Newgrounds had actual good animation instead of 2 frame FlipaClip animations that got spammed by the hundreds by people and children with no talent. 10/10!
Hmm....Interesting concept to the lives of pets. Good art style, music and sound...Okay, I can see this going further. Not too mention unlike the other new entrants, this was actually worked on and you actually put effort into it.
