Tina and Robert weren't as lucky as others when it comes to love. Will they achieve their own definitions of happiness and fulfillment in Greenday Park?
I've made this short dating sim as an entry for WickJam2019

Its cute and has potential. Its really short and not all the routes are available. I had trouble replaying it as I got a pink screen after clicking "play" (which another review mentioned may be due to browser differences). That was still kind of upsetting though. I hope he pink screen issue can get resolved, I do look forward to how the game will turn out as a whole maybe with longer routes (for sure complete ones).

Really simplistic, Fun little thing you got going here. Made me laugh when the first time played I fell in love with a tree

Thanks :D
I might release another version of this game in the future made using a different piece of software. I'm not good with Wick Editor plus there was a deadline, so I couldn't truly replicate my vision of a cheesy dating sim involving multiple plants, a gifting system etc.
But I'm really glad people still found it enjoyable for what it is :P

I restarted the game after accidentally making a choice I didn't mean to and that seems to have rendered it unplayable. After pressing play the writing dissapears and the screen stays pink.
Edit: The issue seems to have solved itself somehow. Anyway, the game doesn't have much to it. Most of the content isn't there. What character you choose doesn't seem to matter. You go through a short dialog with a tree and then the game ends. That's it.

Notabla responds:

I get that there isn't much to the game and that it's not a high quality production. The issue with the pink screen could be caused by the browser differences, but I'm not 100% sure about that.
And I'm sorry for the content that's absent ^^'
As for the character selection, it was supposed to be this way. It was never supposed to matter later in game. Robert is there to give you a backstory that's a little bit different and to make the game less frightening for people who would take the over-the-top-romantic-theme too seriously. And finally, it was supposed to contribute to that little illusion as of what the game is going to be about.
Anyway, thanks for playing and thanks for an honest review :)

The twist of this game took me by surprise, it's a really funny idea. There were some funny jokes in here too. The music plays on top of itself a lot, though, which can be pretty hard on the ears. If you want a looping song, you could try putting a music file in a Clip with a very long frame that lasts as long as the song does. Then when the Clip loops, the music should loop too.
Additionally, it's really easy to make the wrong choices and have to start all over, which can also make it easy to lose interest. But still, good job working with Wick!

Notabla responds:

Thanks :D
About that 7 seconds jingle coming with every click, that's just my sense of humour, I guess ^^' Sorry if it's frustrating, but I just couldn't resist myself...
And about making the wrong choices and going back to the beginning; I just kind of wanted to make a system of being able to go on even after making up to two wrong choices, but I didn't. Maybe because the game is too short, and maybe because I was a lazy bum that didn't make it long enough for it to work nicely. That's on me and I'm sorry for that ^^'
Anyway, have a nice day :D
