On a lonely night, a visitor come to Bradley the Ghost's door and interrupts his game of checkers. Are they friend, or are they foe?

This film was made as my graduating assignment during my time at college a few years ago, and was a love letter to everything that shaped my childhood and my drawing style at the time. A lot has changed since I finished this project, but I'm still proud of the work I accomplished there and I hope you can get some enjoyment out of it too. Thank you for watching!

Well that worked out better than expected. :) Was just waiting for another Ghostbuster to bust in at the end there and start shooting at both of them.

Feels like the guy overcomes his fast-firing frenzy almost too quickly there, as soon as he notices he's saved. But I guess there's not time or room enough to really build anything much longer.

The animation's great. The story's easy to follow even without words too, which is always a bonus! Good fun to watch; with a friendly ending too. If a misstep that leads to an early and unfortunate demise can be counted as such... good stuff.

Knadire responds:

Hahah yeah, actually in the original script an exorcist was going to pull up to the house and imply the cycle would continue!

I was pretty restricted for time. Letting him have a little more time to visibly realize that he'd be saved, maybe through aiming his gun and lowering it or something, would definitely have helped, and that's a good suggestion to let reactions have a little more breathing room in the future.

Thanks very much, and I'm glad you enjoyed it!

the character designs are pretty good. I do love the character interactions. However, the sound designed needed a LOT more love. The proton pack felt pretty weak as well as the chandelier. but it's not enough to really be a detriment. next time you do one of these shorts, remember that the sound effects can make a world of difference selling your visuals.

Knadire responds:

Sound design definitely isn't quite my area of expertise, and during the time we had allotted for this assignment we were pretty expressly told to make that our lowest priority. However you're absolutely right; certain impact noises could have used a lot more umph to make them read better. It's something I definitely could use more practice with and I'll be giving it more care in the near future. Thanks so much for the critique!

I'm biased, but I still love how this is animated and how much it comveys with no dialogue.
