It's not a bad concept. I'm not sure how exactly you kill the ants. Seems to be random if they die or not. Also, you kill them all and you have to let the hand get you, no ending. Could be worked over to make it better.

solid advice,thanks.i considered putting a health bar on top of the ants but it felt a really cluttered but i think that would have been a better decision overall.
