Energy Shield Slaughterhouse is a frantic 2D platforming shoot-em-up game where you have to constantly slaughter your enemies in order to survive. If you try to hide, your energy shield will slowly drain down to nothing. Try to get as high of a score as you can!

This game is a one-man project, and one made of passion and a desire to self improve. However, don't let that stop you from giving me feedback on every aspect of the game! Maybe something that I'm fine with fixing later is actually a super critical issue and I just don't realize it as a developer!

Version 08 Major updates:
Horde mode now has a proper wave mechanic
Added level 4
New flying enemy
Enemy AI reworked.
Pistol and Flamethrower reworked.

hey this game is pretty good
I love how smooth it is and the weapons
but the screen is kinda big I can't see my health bar
and also the visuals are kinda eh I hope you can improve them and if you can't improve them yourself try teaming up with someone
and try adding more weapons and enemies
EDIT : i was able to find a way to fix the screen by just using the chrome zoom

Pizzaboy10 responds:

Hello and thank you for your feedback. I must ask though, what do you mean by not being able to see your health bar?
Additionally I have reworked all of the weapon graphics, so I hope you find that an improvement. A lot of new weapons too.

A pretty bad game overall because a lot of basic things aren't done.

There is no split second of immunity after you collide with an enemy, and so if any of the brutal AI enemies run into you they can chip off massive amounts of HP.

Also, sometimes enemies can spawn right on top of and instantly wail upon you in the Tiny Box Level.

Pizzaboy10 responds:

Interesting, I thought I had invincibility frames implemented properly. I'll look into this.
Also yes good advice for the spawning positions, i'll add that in the next update as well.

EDIT: Ah, I've found the bug. My invincibility code wasn't checking if you were already immune when you get hit, so the iframes duration would "end" at the wrong time if you were hit while invincible.

Good game, I really wanted to live and fight on, I cared about surviving. I like the radar too it builds tension from incoming enemies, this was fun.
