Author Comments

The Magnet - first night is the first chapter in "the magnet" series that follows Teddie, a young girl who is trying to survive the end of the world.

Teddie is a strong willed and independant girl who has to weather the storms of being survival and how to deal with other people now that the world has been overtaken by creatures known only as "the horrors"

The magnet is a visual novel/point'n'click hybrid that puts a lot of emphasis on player choice.

LUV THIS GAME! , these kind of atmospheric games are rare

Interesting story, but...there were several spelling errors, a couple of filler sentences, and quite a bit of reading to do. More gameplay would be appreciated, maybe you could do a quick bit with Teddie and her past? When she flashed back to her past, you could add in a playable part where Teddie is younger, then flash back to the present.

Graphics looked good, but maybe place some boundaries and such so Teddie isn't clipping into an object. Overall, good work on the game, but there's a lot to improve upon! Hope this helps! :)

i love the story so far, the mystery of what these things even look like add to the horror, plus the fucking the nightmare fueled music. i definitely like how smooth the 3d parts are and the visual graphic look of them with the lining and whiteness. It definitely goes off of the fear of the unknown and will definitely make you scared shitless

Absolutely loved the story, but it was more of a visual novel than a 'game'. It was very wordy at times, so maybe break up the story between more items, and definitely a larger map. Have you thought about audio logs or diaries? It's a great way to add story and depth with very little effort (would make great easter eggs/medals too)

that cliffhanger tho...

i'm so excited for the next part! the universe you've created with such a short installment is incredible.
