Start off as a humble blob, bouncing around and eating other blobs. Collect DNA and take it back to your homebase. The Goddesses of Yggdrasil will help you evolve into weird and wonderful forms!

Miscreation is a blast back to the NES past, where a game called E.V.O.: The Search for Eden made gaming history by letting players evolve and create their own creature. Later on, the mechanic was used again in Spore -- with about a zillion additions that made the game more, ahem, "interesting" to play. With Miscreation, we're taking the concept back to its roots, as a 2D platformer!

This is a demo, the first level of what will eventually be a much larger game.

I love how you can evolve randomly, it gives each run an extra dimension in fun. Graphics are cute. Can't wait to see more of this game

so far alright, i think it would work a lot better with a metroidvania style like upgrade the fins and hey now you can swim and i don't like how eah part is all don't have any special functions and just upgrade stats really, like maybe you could have a mouth that heals you more from plants or maybe another for meat or a middle ground for both being slightly better than the base mouth. also make the combat more skill based, i definitely like the polsih and animation and how some area are naturally blocked off by jump height. i bet you could add more with am metrovania style like secret parts you get for going back and using the claws to go to a secret underground section of the map with enemies matched to when you get the claws, but so far for a demo pretty good. The major problem that isn't lost potential is the fact that it could become a grind fest it kinda does. also sometimes bigger characters have problems hitting smaller characters and meat sometimes isn't gradable.
TLDR; has a LOT of lost potential, a bit grindy, can miss, some somewhat clever level design enemies smaller than you, and glitch where you can't eat some particular pieces of meat

I think I found a bug. A few times after getting hit, my character would freeze and not be able to move until I was hit again. Otherwise it's a great game so far.

music is a bop 10/10 demo

Great demo so far! This platformer looks really nice and polished ^_^
I'd definitely like to explore its world a bit more, but I just got a little bit confused in some parts and wasn't able to go further. It was partially due to how incovenient jumping on the platforms was.

I think that could be made a tad bit smoother. Oh, also, my game seems to get a bit slow after biting a creature, I'm not sure if this is a lag, effect or if I'm not just imagining things xD

Awesome job, nevertheless! ;)
