Titanic Panoramic Caduceus Brand Logo

Share Collapse

The Brand Logo for "Titanic Panoramic" for the film which is a stylized Caduceus puppet animation using a typical "butterfly flap" in Adobe After Effects CC 2018. The original sketch was done in 2016 in my sketchbook.

I was scanned into Adobe Photoshop 2016-2018 & edited, cleaned, and colored, then composited & edited in Adobe After Effects CC using: Puppet pin tools, 3D effects, glow, and particles.

The moving background image is my own personal photography shot on an EOS CANON REBEL XS DSLR.

The Caduceus is an ancient Greek symbol which seems to have become a modified n changed version of the "Eye of Wadjet" which had prehistorical tribal origins, and is IN FACT the symbol meaning "a Harold" or the baring for a message and or good news, or glad tidings.

It is FREQUENTLY confused with the medical symbol which is the "Rod of Esclepius" (the healing god- spelled many ways or even named Ophiuchus, and also a constellation) which actually has origins in Ancient Mesopotamia including the Sumerians.

The reason for the mix-up was due the American Military (long story). The true healing symbol (the rod of Esclepius) had only 1 snake, and no wings. The Caduceus has duel snakes AND wings and is the symbol of the Messenger god: Mercury or Hermes.

It was also a fad in the 1990s that New Agers fabricated the idea that this symbol was a depiction of Eastern Hindu concepts of Kundelini, which has no supporting evidence whatsoever, but due to the popularity of the internet, memes, and tribal tattoo artists from the 1990s-2000s, people actually falsely believe this as fact. In fact, these cultures had no connection to this symbol, historically. It is still very common that Western people combine this symbol WITH Kundelini and have it tattooed onto their backs, arms, or have it printed on business cards.
