Yes, it's virtually impossible to survive the first few days but that's the point: it's a 2020s wage-slave survival simulator. I can't remember it being this difficult though, I have survived a week when I last played (few years ago) I think.
TLDR don't expect a particularly enjoyable gameplay but that's the price of realism in this case.

Yes Boss! is a small game about managing your daily work in a factory and keeping your boss entertained. If you run out of money, or your boss gets bored, you lose. Spend your daytime wisely!
Gather raw food from the first conveyor belt and bring it to the production chain. Turn on the cannery machine and repeat the process to earn money.
Meanwhile, beating your boss at a game of pong is the only way to prevent him to get mad and eventually fire you.
Each can of fish getting out of the factory earns you 30 $. But be aware, the cost of life is increasing every day...

Yeah I think you're right, it got harder. I think the rage meter is frame rate dependent, and so now it's harder because our screens got better :/
Unfortunately this project is super old, I don't think I have the code to update it, would be an easy fix though.

I like the idea for the game... but it's not great execution. It's very confusing to understand what to do and how to do it, and even past the first day or two it is near impossible to not either get fired or not have enough money. The boss gets mad way too quickly, and the meter doesn't go down (from what I saw, at least.) Like I said, I really like the concept, but it could definitely use some more polish.
