Huh. Deceptively fun. Doesn't seem like much at first, but it's got responsive controls, very clear visuals, and good pacing.
I know you're trying to add some variance with the randomized sound effects, but the inconsistency is confusing. For example, you have six sound effects used when either jumping or double-jumping; at very least, splitting them up so that three are always used when jumping and three are used when double-jumping would make things more clear to the user. (If you try to land on a platform and immediately jump again, but accidentally jump too early and use up your double-jump instead, the sounds should make that clear.) Volume equalization between sound effects is also a lil' wonky at times.
Other than the sounds (which are individually good, just not well implemented), this is actually a super cute and surprisingly solid ascent game.
