It came from outside

You find yourself in a village surrounded by a palisade. There's a disturbing silence, and there's no sign of life... apparently. What has happened?

Use the arrow keys to move. Bump into things to interact with them. Enter doors by just walking on them.

This is my first attempt at doing a flash game. I discovered the existence of Bitsy only some days ago, and I decided to try it out, to test its possibilities. It's a pretty short game.
I'd like to thank wjhollyart, who made me discover Bitsy with his games, and Steeelshark, who helped me with the process of uploading a Bitsy game on NG. They've made some nice Bitsy games, check them out!

Great ending to an atmospheric game

Thanks!

no spoilers given.
just play this sweet little game
and find out :)

Nirag responds:

Thank you for the review! (and for the no-spoilers too!)

Not gonna lie, this small style of this pixelated (from the others that I've seen), this has been the most silent but short game that I enjoyed. A lot of tapping and effort went into this as I can tell, though. Maybe some sounds would make it better, such as wind effect.
Still, pretty good game.

Nirag responds:

Thank you!

It's interesting to see an Atari-esque style horror game. I think that's really neat & the style this guy should keep using (I don't mean that like MAKING him keep using this art-style). As soon as I got outside, I felt fear for the protagonist. ---- Ok so after playing this game I realized that YOU are playing as the mutant. Why do you think your hand is ALWAYS twitching?! In the end, there's a man holding a gun, pointed towards you. I think that this is supposed to be one big metaphor: DON'T. TRUST. ANYONE. Even your closest friend.

Nirag responds:

Thank you!
Nice interpretation!

I love the horror aspect of this game. At the end, you don't even get killed or something like that for a dramatic finale. Everything's just... quiet. Nothing happens and you're left wondering. I love that type of game! Excellent work!

Nirag responds:

Thank you very much!
