add please the restart level button, because wait a long time when you stop at a dead end, or by missing a coin to wait for death.

JasonNumberThirteen responds:

Pressing a "P" key you can restart level from pause menu.

The menus and juice is highly polished but the gameplay and level design is lacking. Platformers live and die by how they feel and this felt off. I enjoyed it but would love to see a lot more attention paid towards the feel of the game and the level design.

It looks nice, but the controls just don't work right. For the menus, I have to click like a hundred times for anything to happen, and for the game itself, the character jumps at random times even when I don't do anything.

JasonNumberThirteen responds:

Maybe try with other browser next time.

I'm of conflicting emotions with this game. On one hand, there is a great amount of polish and detail put into everything, and it's all really nice to look at. Everything is easy to understand and use, which is made even more amazing considering the fact that english is not your native language. It all makes for a very nice game.

On the other hand, however, there's the gameplay. I can deal with the slow gameplay, that's fine, but the controls don't feel satisfactory, and the stages' level design is OK at best. Don't get me wrong, they look pretty good, but feel bad to play.

So overall, I feel like this is a game that values style over substance. I feel that that's a misleading phrase, however, because I genuinely enjoyed the visuals and don't consider it a bad thing that you put more effort into the art and UI than the design. That's okay, especially for a web game of this caliber. Just try putting a little more thought into the level design.

P.S. What is the main character? He looks kind of like a matchstick.

JasonNumberThirteen responds:

I wasn't creating so that to set graphics with higher priority than mechanics. I always trying to keep this linear, different things happen in fact, but this is other motif. Anyway, thanks for rating. A character might looking like a matchstick, but I had a concept of robot with traffic signal (some kind of animated light), but finally I rejected the light and sprite was left, because he wasn't atrract attention of player while "running".

hey i'm jump,
i'm not so jump,
and we're the game jump!
