Breaking Point: How School Kills Creativity

Share Collapse

►Thank you for taking the time to watch my animation.

I worked on this project for about 7 months.
This is my first animtion ever!

►It's not perfect, but that's what makes it so awesome for me. The first frame of animation that you see is also the first frame I made, and so is the last frame the last one I made. Because I worked in order, you can really see the growth from beginning to end in my animation and storytelling skills. (although I have reused some ofmy first frames later in the animation)

►I also composed the music and edited everything into one piece.

►The story lies very close to my own and it can be sad, yet I hope you all see the changes and the growth this little lion makes.

►If you or anyone you know has been affected by the issues in the animation, please talk about it. Help yourself, help others:

You did a great work!
You transmit a powerful message with your animation.
I think so too. The school is wrong and totally out of date. It does not prepare people for the real world, for life.
There, more than teaching, they demand that you comply with what is expected of you. More like a Soviet regime than a place to grow as a person.

But I do not like to end up being pessimistic. So stop finishing I refer to Viktor Frankl. The psychologist who survived the Nazi extermination camps.
I don't extend more, inform you about his work: the human being can overcome any difficulty. And get the best out of yourself in adverse circumstances. Everything is in the mentality.

I say again, a great work to be your first animation.

Selodio responds:

Thank you for such an amazing response!

I looked into Mr. Frankl and I am now completely captivated by his work and thoughts. I'm really glad you told me about him, he surely is a man we should all look up to. His thoughts and work are special, real and so much more.

Again, thank you for this hart warming comment, it really made my day!
