Sounds, graphics, and code By Ari Kim
(Thanks to Final Fantasy for inspiring this one)

----------------- Instructions: -----------------
The game will start. You will be given 2 options to click on, Battle or Shop.
I recommend checking out the shop first, and when you've done that, proceed to battle.

----------------- Instructions for Battle: -----------------
-There are 2 buttons which you can click. One has a sword, and one has a shield.

-Press the sword button to lunge forward and attack the other knight (this is an enemy) and deal your base damage to him.

-Press and hold the shield button to pull out your shield, which disables the other knight from attacking you. **If you use the shield for too long it will result in having to rest (cooldown) for a few seconds, so be wary.

-The Enemy Knight can attack and block too. He also gets progressively more difficult to defeat as the game goes on, so upgrade your knight and learn tactics about when to attack.

-At the end of each battle you will be rewarded a certain amount of Gold Coins and a very small amount of Gems. These can be used in the shop to upgrade your knight.

----------------- OTHER NOTES AND TIPS: -----------------
** All of the statistics about your knight are located in the shop's interface, on the top and bottom.

* Rely on your intuition and look for patterns of the Enemy Knight's attacks, spamming the attack button takes fun out of the game!

* When you lose a game, write down your highscore so you can beat it later. This game does not save highscores. The page also needs to be refreshed once you lose the game if you want to play it again (in a future update re-playing will be added). Only close out of the program when you have lost and/or had rage-quit.

** THE GAME HAS AWESOME MUSIC AND SOUND EFFECTS, turn on your speakers to blast these 8-bit jams.

the fact that you made this using scratch is insane..

arijasonyeah123 responds:

I think I've been working with scratch for around 3 1/2 years now, but I've moved on to Unity, Blender and others. This game was a result of taking a break from Unity and using scratch again. ╰(͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)━☆゚.*・。゚

Needs "risk of addiction" disclaimer) it's good for sure. Rapid attacking seems to be easy way to win. Maybe adding a recharge time to attack will fix this, but for now it seems imbalanced. The graphics, shop and sound are really nice.

This game is VERY ADDICTING, I love the music and the 8-bit still look's great. I had fun timing my attacks, but when I got bored I would just spam the attack button. The store is something I also really enjoyed in this game. This isn't something you would see often, but it isn't entirely new.

:) 3 stars

Very little while also a little addictive.

However I did run across a bug that killed my run. At some point the game would no longer let me click the attack button. I could shield, but I couldn't attack. All I could do was wait to die.

This game is cool and simple to learn, but just like you said I spamming the sword because you can dodge while attacking, then the sword button become not clickable. I am going to play this seriously later.
