This game is very visually beautiful. It's a good thing it has fullscreen option, looks amazing. I also enjoyed the serene and moderately relaxing gameplay. The natural sounds of water are also very nice. The ending was short but nice. I really wanted to give this game a maximum score due to the great visuals and rather unique and calm gameplay.
Sadly a minor issue that somewhat spoils the enjoyment of beautiful visuals is the mouse icon which would not go away after the Shift and WASD icons do go away. Also the plain looking standard windows cursor looks gross above the beautiful visuals. A game with emphasis on visuals like this needs a custom cursor in same theme as the rest of game. For this game however a simpler solution would do - get rid of mouse controls at all! There is no aiming in this game after all. The oar swinging action could just be assigned to any key on right side of keyboard, such as space bar, K, L or even UP. This would remove the need to make a custom cursor and would remove anything covering the beautiful visuals. For these unfortunate mouse issues I feel I must subtract a 0.5 from my score.
I disagree with reviewers below saying that they couldn't understand what to do - the games description says it's about the sack and it's not that hard to figure out anyway. That sack is so obvious I can't understand what people think if they don't try to pick it up. I wonder how some people can live in this world, do they need instructions for everything?
One thing that looked like unfinished design was the blue dots, that the character could collect, but never appeared to use. Are they health? But nothing in the game directly damages you. Are they to replenish your sack? It looks like something giving more depth to the game mechanics, but was left unfinished in the last moment. Or if they do anything it is not noticeable at all. I feel I must reduce my score for another -0.5 points due to this game giving away feeling of being released just a little prematurely. It's apparent that there was a lot of work spent on this game to draw the map and program it, I wonder why the author could not spend just a little bit more time to finish these minor issues. Would have been a perfect game if that were done.
