Hey guys ! :)
This animation was part of a collaboration I did with the Channel Frederator community. The challenge for this collaboration was to animate SpongeBob in different art styles. If it's not that obvious, I went with the DragonBall style as did many members in the community as well... xD

This entire animation was done in just 3 weeks!
When I first started this project, all I knew was what I wanted the character to look like and I just had a vague idea of the story I wanted to tell. In other words, I had no planing at all done for this short, I just improvised and came up with it as I worked on it.
I did all of the animation, the backgrounds, the compositing and effects on "After Effects" and I even did all of the voice acting. (I had to edit my original voice for Patrick on "Audacity" to be able to sound more like him.)

Hope you guys like it! :D

Software used:
► ToonBoom Harmony (Animation)
► Photoshop (Backgrounds)
► Audacity (Audio Recording and Editing)
► Adobe After Effects (Compositing and Special Effects)
► Adobe Premier PRO (Addition of Intro, Outro and other)

Tools I use:
► Wacom Intuos Small
► Neewer® NW-700 Condenser Microphone

maybe next time pat
that was fun lets do it again

Beatiful.

the voices were super flat, tho'; was that intentional as part of the parody?

dianinhas responds:

Hey :)
No that wasn't actually intentional xD I just screwed up a bit on the voices due to having recorded too close to the microphone :x

Random hybrids somehow always end up the most entertaining! XD For a moment in the beginning I thought they were speaking French though, just something about that name... or maybe it's a French name hmm. Entertaining stuff!

-cd-

dianinhas responds:

Thank you so much :)
For the names, I tried messing around with how Japanese people usually say -san, -ku, -sensei, -sama, etc, at the end of a person's name. I do have a bit of a Portuguese accent, so maybe that came out on the voices as well? French and Portuguese languages are a bit similar xD

Good job. Try and get the audio to be a little bit better next time, and you'd have a solid animation. ;)

dianinhas responds:

Thank u so much :)
Will try :D
