A good demo here some nice graphics some nice and smooth controls overall a good vibe of fun with this game here very entertaining and such so nice job

One Shall Rise: JAM
This game is a demo of a metroidvania concept I'm working with.
the final version will introduce combat, more game mechanics, and a world over 1000 screens large.
This game aims to capture what it's like to live in a world where you need to adapt and evolve to overcome difficulties.
Please let me know if you find a bug and I'll fix it in a jiffy.
Great start, enjoyed the colourful visuals and the maps.

Awesome graphics, awesome music, good controls. I quite like this. Of course it is only a demo, and i'm supposing that the full game won't be on Newgrounds. The A key doesn't work for me. Don't know why. All in all, great game.

Thanks! In the instructions I meant that the player can use the "A" button on gamepad to jump, not on a keyboard.

the controls were as simple as they could be, and i think i sequence broke getting one of the keys for the double doors in the last building, where you have to drop the boulder to reach the ledge with a short ceiling, i just used the spring. this is really polished for a demo, you designed it well enough that you didn't need a map or a overlay, its more atmospheric without an overlay, the textures remind me alot of cave story. it was a really charming demo, good luck
