Landing Simulator 2017

Fly for the high score based on how fast you complete the levels using the arrow keys to maneuver through space and time.

My first PICO-8 project, based on the second tutorial from the "Game Development for PICO-8"-zine by MBoffin. A small and rough expansion to get my hands dirty. Sorry about the lack of music, I limited this project to focus on programming patterns and a few visual effects.

Rather enjoyable cute little game.
Basis is simple: Land as fast as possible without crashing.
Your score is based on how fast you complete each level, starting at 1999 each.
There's six levels you have to beat in order to finish it.
My main gripe was the lack of music, but as the author explained he limited the project to focus on programming patterns and a few visual effects. So I guess I have to let that slide.
Would've liked it a bit more if it either had more levels as they so lovingly called them, or if it was infinite and your high score was based on when you finally crashed. Definitely worth sparing a few minutes of your time and author if you are reading this my dude, continue your work. This was actually pretty good and I urge you to continue your work on other games or even a reboot of this one if you feel like it, because truth be told? The little it offered was good.
