I really wanted to like this game, I love detective themed games and the graphics look good. What little of the dialogue I saw was ok, so there's potential here.

However, this one is unplayable for me (I'm using chrome). When I use the 'noirify' ability, I can't click or use the mouse in any way. I managed to start the game by spamming the 'n' key and left click, but that didn't work for the telephone. I reloaded and started a new game, and couldn't even get it started the second time. I'd be willing to come back and check it out again if the bugs were ironed out, but the mechanics need work.

Game has lots of potential. The high points are the graphics and game play are fun. I had no problems figuring out the controls. Music was a decent choice. Low points was that I could not finish the game. Even though I had all the money to pay the landlord, I wasn't allowed to give it to him. So I would go back and was able to keep putting cheese by the rat hole. When I clicked on the hole I would keep getting money. I figured if I kept doing this enough I would eventually be able to pay the guy. I got so much money that when I checked to see how much I still owed I ended up with a negative number, and it kept going up the more money I got from the rat hole. So, I guess it's a bug. Anyways, could be a fun game, especially if a few more levels were added. Also, the Noir button seemed a bit pointless after finding the safe. Maybe this can be incorporated more.

Next time I'll do better. Thank you for playing!

Playing in Waterfox with WIN10 ultimate version, game loads but nothing else works.

NoGramarr responds:

Sorry to hear that. Try playing it on chrome.

Great game I Love the pixel graphics and the animation and the gameplay is amazing. the music is amazing but it does not fit with the graphics I would recommend it should be 8 bit. I think the detective theme was a good decision for this amazing game. keep up the good work

NoGramarr responds:

Thank you! Maybe I'll put an option in future episodes where you can change to 8-bit (if I can find identical tracks).

Nice writing, the visuals fit, and gameplay is good, loves the music. Overall this would be a 4 stars game but this one... I'ts so charming, so full of references to those noir movies I love, such a lighthearted yet grim atmosphere... Loved the game, it simply struck me in a very personal level because I LOVE noir movie/culture. Great job!

NoGramarr responds:

You made my day
