Very interesting story and animation techniques. I loved it
A slow burn, but a good one. Wonderful original art and animation.
Professional realization of overused and unoriginal ideas.
Oh, this looks interesting, im want to see more episodes, seriously, this is excellent
So of course this is really good, but I wanted to comment on a couple of things.
1. The technique used throughout the animation where each scene begins ambiguously in perspective, usually to emphasis a literary device, was at first kind of annoying. However, it grew on me pretty fast. This animation uses that technique quite brazenly, yet with flawless resolve it doubles down as if to say "yeah, I do. So ?" In short, I want to recognize this animation as both unique and confident. Bold may be too strong of a word, but somewhere in that vicinity.
2. This is supposed to be a series, but unfortunately there are relatively few "hooks" that draw me into wanting a second helping... Or rather, the hooks it does have are weak, or executed awkwardly.
2.5.This animation is faced with a dilemma. On one hand, it's purposeful obscurity/mystery plays well with its gloomy dystopian themes. On the other, too much obscurity, especially in areas that would of otherwise been great for character development and/or fleshing out the world leaves this animation weaker in those areas. However, this is not unforgivable, and I sympathize with the choices made for the sake of such a creative direction taken here.
Excellent work.
