As a child, I only really had a handful of interests, and I wasn't a fan of reading. I was consistently admitted to book clubs and the like, but all I'd ever bring up was Thomas and Friends and want to go home (the books I mean.) I don't exactly remember when I found out about Captain Underpants, but when I did, I was hooked. I figured, seeing as the books were a huge (and debatably the only) real inspiration I had to start drawing, in general.
