Here’s my second iClone 6 animation test, and still hovering around the PreVis level of animation.. The point of this exercise was simply to experiment with mix moves (predefined moves) and character interaction. Since I was using text to speech primarily, I kept the dialog simple.
I plan to use voice actors on the next short, and do a more serious scene/trailer from one of the projects I’d like to do.
the camera panning is awful, at 0:44 is a good example, the way it goes in one direction and then sways to show the other female next to the guy
also a pet peeve of mine in movies is when the villains have the hero cornered and they dont shoot, it breaks my suspension of disbelief
Actually, totally agree on all counts. The odd camera movements were to cover some of the odder birs of animation.. Even making her walk ariind a corner was a pain in the butt..haha...so i would call those issues a learning moment and move on. I painfully delayed the action to experiment with the interaction..and i was winging it...but i hate that as well...i appreciate your honest eval and wiil look to leave the clichés at door with my next outing ..also will keep it shorter, focused and try not to break suspension

Thanks, I appreciate the kind words. And yeah, there are several rough areas for sure. This was a second effort so there was a learning curve that shows. My next effort will be shorter and more focused, so the quality should be a few motches higher. :) still getting a handle on premier pro so my video quality is dicey as well. Several areas to work on!
