Last animation for Animation jam!

Started this project 3 days before the deadline, I'm surprised by how much I got done.
I made the backgrounds with 3D models from LeoCad, rendered in 3DS Max. The lanterns are photo's. Then I cleaned up the backgrounds in photoshop.
The character is made with greenscreened stop-motion, improved in Animate CC, I also used this to give him a face.
The hand is just some simple greenscreened videos.
Then everything is edited in HitFilm (which is some awesome piece of software as I discovered). Sounds from freesound.org edited in Audacity and synced up in Animate CC.

Definitely a neat departure from most the flash stuff I've seen in the Creep Jam. I appreciate the work put into the environments and the nice animation! You have your own thing going and that's rad. Some small critiques: If it were just a bit longer, enough to build a little suspense and give me time to get a little creeped, that'd be great. I understand it's a comedy animation, but hey, it IS the creep jam and I'm totally looking to get creeped yo! The sound effects could have maybe been a little more original, as in not stock sound effects. Animations like this work very nicely when they have sound work refined and such. Kinda adds another dimension of polish to it. But you may just be working within your limitations, and I totally get that. Overall, good work dude!

Nice job with the stop motion animation. Big concern is that the story really doesn't make any sense but other than that I like it.

GuyUngerNL responds:

The story isn't clear to more people. It something like:
Lego man runs out of fuel so he has to walk. A monster creeps up in front of him, starts chasing him. He thinks the monster is going to kill him but instead it builds him a gas station for his van.

Very cool animation

Could use a bit more fixing with the animations but really good

Turbo fuel made by a turbo good animator

GuyUngerNL responds:

hahah, thanks!
