Where I lived while I was working to get my technical school degree in Graphic Art Design, the bus pass was costing me $62 per month as a student. Now it's $82 per month for students and elders over 60 and $98 for others. It's far cheaper than the cost of a car (insurance, fuel, maintenance, winter tires, etc.) Once I got my degree, I switched gears and went... walking. I went from using bus to simply walking. Cost me around $300 per years for some of the best shoes for walking and I walk all the time.
Over 1 month ago, I got diagnosed with an Epine de Lenoir and started using a cane. I'm still freaking walking around like a boss... with a cane! (Hell! I got to replace my cane's tip each month like some freaking tire!)
